How do I know if I’m pregnant?

The most common first sign of pregnancy is a missed period. Other signs include breast tenderness, nausea, and unusual tiredness. The only way to confirm if you are pregnant is to take a pregnancy test and have your pregnancy confirmed by a physician.

Next Step Pregnancy and Relationship Center provides confidential, free pregnancy tests but cannot medically confirm a pregnancy. The pregnancy test process takes approximately fifteen minutes and provides immediate results. You’ll also have the opportunity to talk with a client advocate, who can provide information on pregnancy, prenatal development, parenting, abortion (procedures and risks), and more.

If you suspect that you are pregnant you may have questions. You might feel scared and confused or wish it was yesterday again. Maybe you don’t know who to talk to or where you can go. At Next Step Pregnancy and Relationship Center we will walk with you. We will listen to your questions and thoughts, discuss options with you, and provide resources and tools you may need to be successful.

Abortion

If you are considering abortion we know you are not taking this decision lightly. We don’t take abortion lightly either. We want you to be well-informed about your decision.

  • What should I expect?

  • What are the risks?

  • Will an abortion affect future pregnancies?

  • What questions should I ask my provider?

  • What if I’m being pressured to have an abortion?

We encourage you to come in and talk with our client advocates. We listen. We care about you. We have resources to walk you through what happens during an abortion procedure and information for you to take home that further explains your options to you.

Next Step Pregnancy and Relationship Center does not perform or refer for abortions.  Our desire is to provide accurate and up-to-date information for women (and their partners) so individuals can make informed decisions about their reproductive health.
